European Peace Strategy. For a Shared, Human-Centered Future. A Strategy for European States, EU Institutions, Municipalities, and Civil Society Actors ist ein Projekt des Internationalen Versöhnungsbundes – Österreichischer Zweig, ICAN Austria Partner – Kampagne zur Abschaffung von Nuklearwaffen und Campaign to Stop Killer Robots Austria (KRC Austria Partner). Das Projekt wird von Thomas Roithner, Fabian Hämmerle und Marit Seyer geleitet.
Am 14.10.2026 wird die Strategie unter dem Titel „Rethinking Peace and Security in Europe. 42 proposals for an active, human-centered peace policy“ im „Erlebnis Europa“ in Wien präsentiert. Mehr Infos gibt es unter www.europeanpeacestrategy.eu.
Die Friedensstrategie liegt (vorerst) in englischer Sprache vor und wurde von der Bertha-von-Suttner-Stiftung finanziell unterstützt und wird von der IPPNW Österreich mitgetragen.

Friedensnobelpreis für IPPNW
While the abolition of nuclear weapons is IPPNW’s highest priority, IPPNW recognizes that militarism and war rob both rich and poor societies of resources to protect and promote health. For this reason, IPPNW addresses the inter-related issues of landmines, small arms and light weapons, developing world debt, and chemical and biological weapons.
